FrontPage : Insider's Guide
Please share what you've learned about working in the Laptop Initiative at USF.
- What does a student new to the LI need to know?
- Not all of your classes will teach technology integration, even if they are designated as laptop classes. Still, having the laptop is a great resource for class work and research.
- Where do you find information/get help?
- A great source of information is James Welsh. The FCIT is also a wonderful source of information.
- To ensure you have the latest software, always run a Software Update.
- What are your best resources?
College of Education Resources
- Chalk and Wire is the online portfolio tool used by the college. The lab for Chalk and Wire is located in EDU 262.
- The Laptop Lounge is located in EDU 252. This is a training space and general resource room for the LI, starting with the Fall 05 semester.
- You can search for an email address for any staff or faculty member at USF.
